EBC Turbo Groove Brake Discs for Jeep Commander and Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0 CRD, 3.7, 4.7 and 5.7 Hemi from 2005 to 2010 (rear axle)
The friction surface of the Turbo Groove sports brake rotor is grooved and slotted.
The slots of these brake rotors are milled to the outer edge.
This ensures that brake gases, abrasion, dirt and water can be almost completely removed from the friction surface of the brake rotors.
Furthermore, 'cooler' air is supplied through the slots to optimally counteract overheating of the brake pads as well as the brake rotors.
The additional grooves on the treads support this property considerably once again.
In this way, all the advantages of a drilled sports brake rotor are achieved, but without the risk of the well-known heat cracks associated with completely drilled brake rotors.
Due to the slotting, the brake pads are worn evenly and in parallel over the complete lifetime.
The black powder coating of the Black Dash rotors enables the best possible corrosion protection and is particularly suitable for vehicles with an open rim design.
Advantages and disadvantages at a glance:
+ Best possible cooling through grooves and slots
+ Best possible removal of gases, dirt, water, etc.
+ Corrosion protection due to gold-coloured coating
+ No danger from heat cracks, as not drilled through
+ Even wear of the brake pads over the complete service life
- Higher noise level than Black Dash brake rotors
