Granatelli 83 Degree High Flow Thermostat for Lower Coolant Temperature / Engine Temperature
The OEM thermostat opens at 95 degrees.
For further improvement of engine cooling, we recommend adjusting the fan control in addition to the thermostat.
Without adjustment, the coolant temperature drops while driving due to the airstream, but it drops significantly less when stationary and driving slowly.
By adjusting the fan control, the switch-on temperatures of the electric fans are reduced so that the cooling water temperature remains permanently low even when driving slowly and when stationary. This ensures optimum cooling of the engine and prevents possible overheating.
Adjusting the fan control is possible, for example, with the Diablosport Trinity and inTune possible.
Alternatively, we can program the engine control unit for this at our premises without these devices, which is significantly cheaper.

The task of a standard thermostat is to regulate the temperature of the motor and keep it within its ideal operating range to ensure the best performance and durability.
When the engine is cold, the wax inside the thermostat is solid and the thermostat remains closed, preventing coolant from flowing through the engine. As the engine warms up, the wax begins to melt and expand, opening the thermostatic valve and allowing coolant to flow through the engine. Once the engine has reached its optimum operating temperature, the wax in the thermostat will have fully expanded and the valve will remain open to maintain the desired temperature.
The wax thermostat is an efficient method of regulating engine temperature as it reacts quickly to temperature changes and can adjust the coolant flow accordingly. It is also durable and relatively low-maintenance, making it a popular choice for automotive applications.
I was impressed by the fast delivery and the good advice from Kraftwerk.
The thermostat works exactly as promised and ensures a stable temperature. A few minor questions were answered quickly.
I can highly recommend Kraftwerk. I did an all-round job and replaced all the wear parts for my Trackhawk + a small performance upgrade. The advice was excellent, delivery time as stated. I'm looking forward to the next upgrade.
Super shop which always shows exactly the right parts for my vehicle, very easy to use and well sorted!
