Cleaning kit for JLT air filter with red filter oil

Clean your filter in just 3 simple steps:

Remove the filter from your vehicle and clean it:
Clean the sealing area of your filter and the filter housing with a clean, soft cloth. Do not start your vehicle without the filter installed. Shake the filter or tap it lightly on a hard surface to remove and loosen large particles and deposits. A soft brush can be used to loosen larger debris or bugs. Pay attention to which side of the filter the dirt has settled on. Clean the filter with the filter cleaner from S&B. Leave it to soak for 10 minutes and then rinse it with tap water at low pressure. Allow the filter to air dry.

Fill the applicator bottle with the correct amount of oil:
Turn the oil bottle with the cap facing downwards. When re-oiling a filter, it is important to apply the oil to the side where the dirt accumulates. Using the applicator bottle, apply a drop of oil to the tip of each pleat where it meets the urethane (rubber).

Allow the oil to soak in for 20-30 minutes, then apply the remaining oil to the white areas and replace the air filter:
After allowing the oil to drain for 20-30 minutes, check the filter for white spots that have not been covered by the oil. Apply a small amount of oil to these white spots with the remaining oil in the applicator. Applying the correct amount of oil (+ 5 grams) is crucial for the filter to function properly. Do not over-oil your filter!
