These high-performance brake discs consist of a two-piece construction with a lightweight aluminium pot and a heat-treated cast iron friction surface, resulting in optimum heat dissipation and reduced weight.
Cast from high-carbon alloyed iron and featuring a thermal stability profile, DBA metallurgy can repeatedly cope with the increased stress and heat generated during intensive braking operations.
With DBA's Kangaroo Paw ventilation, which incorporates a series of 144 diamond and teardrop shaped elements, DBA achieves up to 30 % more surface area and 20 % improved cooling efficiency (compared to a conventional straight fin design).
Building on the foundations of DBA's T2 slot, the T3 slot design features additional precision CNC-machined trisymmetrical slots, resulting in an even quieter, more responsive and smoother brake pedal feel.
The T3 slot increases the number of exit points for brake pad friction dust and gases to escape through, further increasing the uniformity and efficiency of each braking operation.
