Bluestuff is the 4th category of EBC sports brake pads.

As the ideal intermediate between road and race pads, Bluestuff brake pad is the number 1 choice for many riders who need a pad for both fast road applications, trackday (free riding) or shorter races.

Drivers who already have experience with the Yellowstuff road pad can compare the Bluestuff with the EBC Yellowstuff brake pad, but with a little extra "bite" on top due to the slightly higher coefficient of friction.

Bluestuff has a slightly higher coefficient of friction, but gives excellent pedal feel both on the road and on the track and has a higher resistance to brake fade.

However, the EBC Brakes Bluestuff is a track-focused brake pad, which means that unlike Yellowstuff, there is more brake dust and brake noise can occur, as can often happen with performance-oriented friction materials and racing pads.

Deep 'V-Grooves' provide optimal ventilation and trap dirt, dust and abrasion. EBC Brakes' new NDX friction material is bonded to the back plate by an additional chemical interlayer. This increases adhesion and resistance to shear forces by a factor of 5. Due to a surface sinking, the brake pad is 'pre-run-in', so to speak, which enables a run-in phase of only 3-4 braking operations on the race track.
