• The stabilizers are used to control lateral forces, such as centrifugal forces, in the chassis system
• This reduces rolling and rolling movements - and thus lateral inclination - when cornering and other rapid changes of direction
• The system starts with one-sided deflection and then adds the spring and stabilizer rates
• When cornering and in similar situations, the effect of the stabilizers moves the centre of gravity (CoG) of the vehicle back towards the ideal center point
• The load differences between the outer and inner wheel on the bend are also reduced
• Ideally, this all results in a ride that feels 'like being on rails'
• With simultaneous compression on both sides, the anti-roll bars remain neutral and the original suspension characteristics remain unchanged
• Stabilizers can also be used to influence the vehicle's self-steering behaviour, i.e. understeer or oversteer
