JLT pre-filter / dust protection for 5 x 7″ air filters

The pre-filter is designed to prevent larger particles such as rubber, dirt and sand from entering and clogging the folds of the air filter elements.
Premature clogging of an air filter leads to loss of performance and shortened maintenance intervals. JLT's pre-filters are designed to protect your engine without compromising airflow or performance.
Particles as small as 0.005″ are filtered out, extending the life of the filter. Even in harsh conditions, including high humidity, a JLT pre-filter improves your filter's ability to maintain the airflow required for maximum performance. Proper use of a pre-filter saves money on cleaning or replacing the filter and extends its life.

Using the JLT pre-filter does not result in a significant reduction in airflow. Most performance air filters let more air through than the engine can actually handle. In fact, the pre-filter keeps your primary filter cleaner for longer and allows your engine to maintain its original airflow and performance for a longer period of time.
