JXB prop shaft bearing repair kit for Chrysler 300C, Dodge Challenger and Charger from 2015 to 2023
The standard center bearing carrier holds the drive shaft in position with a thin layer of rubber. While this is great for ensuring that no annoying noise enters the cabin, it does not keep the bearing well centered under load, causes the bearing to sag, deteriorates propeller shaft alignment over time, and causes driveline shock when shifting and accelerating .
Over time, the OEM bushing becomes brittle and can eventually become brittle and crack. Even in perfectly maintained cars, the original bushing can crack after just 5-10 years.
As the bushing wears and gives way, it changes the alignment of the driveshaft and puts more stress on the joints. When the driveshaft is subjected to rapid loads (starts, shifts, and rapid accelerators), the bearing can run off-center, causing the drivetrain to sag, resulting in a delayed and unpredictable drivetrain response.
This improved driveshaft carrier from JXB keeps the driveshaft firmly in place at all times. The more solid bushings ensure that the bearing cannot go off center, ensuring torque delivery and drive shaft alignment at all times, resulting in more direct drivetrain response in all conditions.
- Reduces drivetrain sag
- Restores and maintains drive shaft alignment
- Assembly without removing or dismantling the drive shaft
- Suitable for all Charger / Challenger /300 from 2015 to 2023
- Suitable for RWD and AWD
- Suitable for V6 and V8
- Suitable for automatic and manual transmissions
The benefits of the JXB repair kit described by our customers include:
- More direct response from the accelerator pedal
- Tighter, more direct shifting
- More direct acceleration
- Reduced vibration due to drive shaft misalignment and/or rubber wear
- Smoother behavior when changing loads at low speeds (1st gear in parking lots)
Difference between Street and Track
Street and Track refer to the stiffness of the bushings.
- Track bushings have about twice the hardness as street bushings. Both track and street bushings are many times stiffer than the original bushings and can withstand any stress.
- street bushings are better at absorbing drivetrain noise and vibration. Normally both road and track bushings are completely silent and vibration free, but in cases where there is a problem with the drivetrain that is causing severe drive shaft vibration, the track bushings may not be able to absorb everything while the road bushings can.
In general, we recommend street bushings for all vehicles that are not specifically built for track or off-road use, as the bushings are significantly less likely to transmit noise and vibration to the interior at high speeds or under hard acceleration is.
If you're not sure which bushings to choose, the "Give Me Both" option gives you a complete set of road and track bushings. You can use any bushings for street or track, or even mix them to find the perfect balance between performance and damping properties.
