KW V3 Clubsport coilover kit
Racetrack performance with street approval! KW Clubsport offers cutting-edge motorsport technology for the sportiest road vehicles with a sports tire setup for use on the racetrack and on the road. KW Clubsport was developed specifically for customers who drive their road vehicle on the racetrack, e.g. B. take part in tourist trips, sports driving courses or other track sports events and at the same time want to be approved for road use so that they can also use their vehicle on public roads. The setup was specifically designed for the Nordschleife and the use of sports tires. The height adjustment options allow the wheel loads to be adjusted. The aforementioned adjustment options, combined with the separately adjustable compression and rebound damping technology (TVR-A and TVC-A technology), enable individual setups to suit the vehicle weight, tire characteristics, different track conditions and operating conditions.
Setup – factory preconfigured damping setup with separately adjustable compression and rebound damping
The basic setup of the KW V3 Clubsport coilover suspension, which is perfectly tailored to the Nordschleife, allows you to individually adapt your sports car to the desired road sports tire setup thanks to the numerous adjustment options. The separately adjustable rebound and compression dampers with their “TVR-A” and “TVC-A” technology allow extensive damper tuning. This makes it easy to directly influence the steering behavior, directional stability, tire grip and handling properties to ensure safe controllability at the limit. Depending on the vehicle type, the KW V3 Clubsport coilovers are delivered with aluminum uniball support bearings.
TVR-A rebound damping:
The two-stage patented "TVR-A" technology allows the low volume flows to flow through an adjustable conical low-speed bypass at slow damper speeds and the main rebound valve to open for the large volume flows at higher piston speeds. This creates a significant increase in driving comfort without affecting the high speed in the safety-relevant area. There are 16 precise clicks available for individual adjustment, so you can choose between more comfort or more assembly control.
TVC-A compression damping:
With 12 precise clicks, the adjustable compression valve (“TVC-A” technology) can reduce or increase the cross-section in the low-speed valve to achieve more or less compression damping. At the same time, the spring-loaded needle valve opens its maximum valve cross-section together with the spring-loaded main valve at sudden high piston speeds in order to prevent unwanted progressive increases in force in the high-speed range with its blow-off characteristic. This makes it possible to better support the vehicle body and at the same time offer more comfort at high wheel accelerations than with conventional valve technology. The compression damping adjustment is always delivered in conjunction with a separate rebound adjustment, as only an independent 2-way damper adjustment allows real performance optimization.
Continuous lowering
The KW V3 Clubsport coilover suspension enables maximum or individual lowering within the tested adjustment range. Thanks to the dirt-resistant trapezoidal thread and the polyamide threaded ring, the stepless lowering can be varied quickly and easily even after years.
