KW V3 coilover suspension
The separately and independently adjustable compression and rebound damping allows the damper setup to be adapted to individual preferences in driving behavior or vehicle changes, such as weight, tire characteristics or changes in vehicle stiffness. This unique patented system is the only way to truly optimize performance. For example, the compression damping force can be increased to demand more grip from the tire, improve turn-in behavior and reduce starting pitch without simultaneously changing the rebound damping to match the spring rate, which would result in a grip-reducing effect and thus a loss of performance.
Setup - factory pre-configured damping setup with separately adjustable compression and rebound damping
The basic setup of the KW V3 Clubsport coilover suspension is perfectly matched to the Nordschleife and allows you to individually tune your sports car to the desired road sports tire setup thanks to the numerous adjustment options. The separately adjustable rebound and compression dampers with their "TVR-A" and "TVC-A" technology allow extensive damper tuning. This makes it easy to directly influence the turn-in behavior, directional stability, tire grip and handling characteristics for safe controllability at the limit. Depending on the vehicle type, the KW V3 Clubsport coilovers are delivered with aluminum uniball mounts.
TVR-A rebound damping:
The two-stage patented "TVR-A" technology allows the low volume flows to flow through an adjustable conical low-speed bypass at low damper speeds and the main rebound valve to open for the high volume flows at higher piston speeds. This results in a significant increase in ride comfort without affecting the high speed in the safety-relevant range. There are 16 precise clicks available for individual adjustment, so you can choose between more comfort or more body control.
TVC-A compression damping:
With 12 precise clicks, the adjustable compression valve ("TVC-A" technology) can reduce or increase the cross-section in the low-speed valve to achieve more or less compression damping. At the same time, the spring-loaded needle valve opens its maximum valve cross-section at sudden high piston speeds together with the spring-loaded main valve in order to prevent unwanted progressive increases in force in the high-speed range with its blow-off characteristic. This makes it possible to support the vehicle body better and at the same time offer more comfort at high wheel accelerations than with conventional valve technology. The compression damping setting is always supplied in conjunction with a separate rebound damping setting, as only an independent 2-way damper setting allows real performance optimization.
Stepless lowering
The KW V3 coilover suspension allows maximum lowering within the tested adjustment range. Thanks to the dirt-resistant trapezoidal thread and the polyamide thread ring, the stepless lowering can be varied quickly and easily even after years.
The benchmark for coilovers
As with all KW coilover suspensions, the KW engineers develop the vehicle-specific KW damper tuning, which is appreciated by car enthusiasts worldwide, in extensive test cycles on the Nürburgring Nordschleife and in the test center on the KW 7-post driving dynamics test bench. With a KW coilover suspension you experience your car more directly and dynamically.
After all, you are not buying just any coilover suspension, but a KW coilover suspension that has been specially developed and tuned for your vehicle type. As a manufacturer, KW only uses its own resources, high-quality components and the same damper technology as mass-produced manufacturers. With the KW V1, the rolling and pitching movements of the vehicle body are reduced during compression, allowing you to benefit from unadulterated directness and sportier handling when driving.
Experience for your driving pleasure
For over 20 years, KW has been the market leader and innovation driver for individual suspension solutions for the road and in racing. No matter where in the world, sporty drivers, car manufacturers and tuners rely on our KW coilovers "Made in Germany".
Each KW coilover suspension is subjected to extensive load tests during production and is developed and manufactured directly at the company headquarters in Fichtenberg, Swabia, in order to meet the high standards of KW quality management.
As a German manufacturer, it is a matter of course for KW to provide a multi-year warranty on its KW coilover suspension kits, which exceed OEM quality and cover over 4,600 applications.
