KW V3 Clubsport coilover suspension

 

Race track performance with road approval! KW Clubsport offers top motorsport technology for the sportiest road vehicles with sports tyre set-up for use on the race track and on the road. KW Clubsport was developed especially for customers who participate with their road vehicle on the race track, e.g. at tourist drives, sport driver training courses or other track sport events and at the same time wish to have a road approval in order to be able to use their vehicle on public roads as well. The setup was specially designed for the Nordschleife and the use of sports tyres. The adjustment possibilities in the height allow an adaptation of the wheel loads. The aforementioned adjustment options, combined with the separately adjustable compression and rebound damping technology (TVR-A and TVC-A technology), allow individual setups to suit the vehicle weight, tyre characteristics, different track conditions and operating conditions.

The basic set-up of the KW V3 Clubsport coilover suspension, which is perfectly tuned for the Nordschleife, allows you to individually adjust your sports car to the desired road sport tyre set-up thanks to the numerous adjustment options. The separately adjustable rebound and compression dampers with their "TVR-A" and "TVC-A" technology allow extensive damper tuning. This makes it easy to directly influence the turn-in behaviour, the directional stability, the tyre grip and the handling characteristics for a safe controllability at the limit. Depending on the vehicle type, the KW V3 Clubsport coilovers are supplied with aluminium uniball support bearings.

TVR-A rebound damping:
The two-stage patented "TVR-A" technology allows the low volume flows to flow through an adjustable conical low-speed bypass at slow damper speeds and the main rebound valve to open for the high volume flows at higher piston speeds. This results in a significant increase in ride comfort without affecting the high-speed in the safety-relevant range. For individual adjustment, 16 exact clicks are available so that a decision can be made between more comfort or more body control.

TVC-A compression damping:
With 12 precise clicks, the adjustable compression valve ("TVC-A" technology) can reduce or increase the cross-section in the lowspeed valve to achieve more or less compression damping. At the same time, the spring-loaded needle valve, together with the spring-loaded main valve, opens its maximum valve cross-section at abrupt high piston speeds to prevent unwanted progressive force increases in the high-speed range with its blow-off characteristic. This makes it possible to better support the vehicle body and at the same time offer more comfort at high wheel accelerations than with conventional valve technology. The compression damping adjustment is always supplied in conjunction with a separate rebound damping adjustment, as only an independent 2-way damping adjustment allows true performance optimisation.

 

Stepless Lowering

 

The KW V3 Clubsport coilover suspension allows maximum or individual lowering in the tested adjustment range. Thanks to the dirt-resistant trapezoidal thread and the polyamide threaded ring, the stepless lowering can be varied quickly and easily even after years.
