KW V4 coilover suspension

 

The KW V4 coilover suspension combines leading racing technology with a significant plus in everyday suitability for numerous high-performance vehicles.
This allows independent adjustment of the rebound damping as well as the low-speed and high-speed compression damping.
KW supplies the V4 coilover suspension with a vehicle-specific performance setting.
Thanks to the adjustable dampers, riders can - if necessary - quickly and intuitively switch to a comfort setting using the integrated adjustment wheels on the damper.

The three-way adjustable high-performance dampers with their independent adjustment of the rebound damping by the "TVR-A" technology as well as the low-speed and high-speed compression damping by the "TVCLH-A" technology are based on the successful racing technology of the multiple overall winner of the ADAC Zurich 24h-Race Nürburgring and are supported by aluminum support bearings depending on the vehicle-specific version. The KW V4 coilover suspension is developed exclusively for selected high-performance vehicles, which can be moved more safely at the limits of driving dynamics thanks to the sophisticated KW suspension technology.

 

 

TVR-A rebound damping:
The two-stage patented "TVR-A" technology allows the low volume flows to flow through an adjustable conical low-speed bypass at low damper speeds and the main rebound valve to open for the high volume flows at higher piston speeds. This results in a significant increase in ride comfort without affecting the high speed in the safety-relevant range. There are 16 precise clicks available for individual adjustment, so you can choose between more comfort or more body control.

TVC-A compression damping:
With 12 precise clicks, the adjustable compression valve ("TVC-A" technology) can reduce or increase the cross-section in the low-speed valve to achieve more or less compression damping. At the same time, the spring-loaded needle valve opens its maximum valve cross-section at sudden high piston speeds together with the spring-loaded main valve in order to prevent unwanted progressive increases in force in the high-speed range with its blow-off characteristic. This makes it possible to support the vehicle body better and at the same time offer more comfort at high wheel accelerations than with conventional valve technology. The compression damping setting is always supplied in conjunction with a separate rebound damping setting, as only an independent 2-way damper setting allows real performance optimization.

 

Stepless lowering

 

The KW V4 coilover suspension allows maximum or individual lowering within the tested adjustment range. Thanks to the dirt-resistant trapezoidal thread and the polyamide threaded ring, the stepless lowering can be varied quickly and easily even after years.

As with all KW coilover suspensions, the KW engineers develop the vehicle-specific KW damper tuning, which is appreciated by car enthusiasts worldwide, in extensive test cycles on the Nürburgring Nordschleife and in the test center on the KW 7-post driving dynamics test bench.
