The NGK Ruthenium HX was developed for newer engines that require high ignition performance.
The dual fine electrode (DFE) design promotes concentration of spark energy and ignites in a wider range of air/fuel ratios, providing improved performance in rich or lean engine conditions.
The center electrode consists of a 0.4 mm thick ruthenium alloy and the ground electrode of a 0.8 mm thick platinum wire.
The trivalent metal platinum offers excellent corrosion protection and anti-seizing properties.
Corrugated ribs prevent rollovers.
The ceramic insulator made of pure aluminum oxide silicate ensures greater strength and better heat transfer.
Copper core helps with heat dissipation.
