The parking release is also available under the name "Pinky" and "Pink Thingy", as the original part was pink.
If the selector lever of the automatic transmission can no longer be moved out of the "P" position or no more gears can be selected, a plastic part is often broken off in the gearshift module. The workshop usually replaces the complete gearshift module.
Experience has shown that this defect occurs most frequently when it is very warm again for the first time after winter or when the vehicle has been exposed to extreme sunlight.
This spare part solves the problem.
