How it works
PedalMonster combines your driver input with real-time data from your vehicle's sensors and ECM to accelerate torque delivery.

How to use it
First drive onto the highway and select one of 30 master torque response curves to determine the desired mid-range pulling power. Then return to stop-and-go traffic and check the start from a standing start. Are the tires spinning? Reduce the power with one of the 5 starting trim levels.

It is safer
Banks Active Safety® monitors the system for faults and reverts to standard torque delivery if a problem is detected. This prevents fault codes, emergency mode and a dead accelerator pedal. Additionally, Reverse Safety returns the system to factory settings, preventing unintended acceleration in reverse. No one else offers these functions.

Torque response curves

PedalMonster improves mid-range responsiveness and pulling power by optimizing your vehicle's torque delivery with 30 selectable master torque response curves: City, Sport and Track, each with its own 5-stage launch trim active below 10 mph.

Launch Trim

If you have selected an aggressive master torque curve for maximum mid-range pulling power, but find it too aggressive at low speeds, you can choose from 5 levels of Launch Trim to throttle back the torque delivery below 10 mph.

Control interfaces

Configure, control and monitor PedalMonster with the Banks Mobile App for iDash. The torque response curves can be changed while driving without stopping the vehicle.

Thanks to integrated Bluetooth connectivity, new functions and support for other vehicles can be added wirelessly. No computer required.

OBD 2-way communication

Connecting PedalMonster to your vehicle's on-board diagnostic (OBD) port provides real-time, bi-directional powertrain data and a secure, stable 12V power source.

Security

PedalMonster has two security systems: Banks Active Safety® and Reverse Safety

The Active Safety® monitoring circuit brings the vehicle back to standard torque output in the unlikely event of a problem, preventing fault codes, emergency mode and a locked pedal.

Reverse Safety returns your vehicle to the standard torque output and prevents you from accidentally driving backwards through your garage door. Both safety systems are patented.

Other providers

PedalMonster differs from throttle response controllers like Pedal Commander, Sprint Booster and others that “crudely” manipulate pedal position. PedalMonster uses real-time powertrain data to calibrate torque output. Competitors have no such connectivity or safety features and treat all vehicles and situations the same.
