Upgrade water pump / cooling water pump for Chrysler 300C, Dodge Challenger , Charger , Magnum, Commander and Grand Cherokee 5.7 & 6.1
Mopar comparison numbers: 4792838AA, 4792838AB
Characteristics
- Case-hardened bearings
- Precise CNC machined surfaces
- Metal impeller (a vulnerable plastic wheel is used in the Mopar original part)
- Includes water pump seal
Advantages of case-hardened bearings
This cooling water pump utilizes case-hardened bearings designed to original manufacturer specifications to meet the specific radial torque and axial load requirements of each application.
These high-quality case-hardened bearings have a higher load capacity and are robust on the outside but flexible on the inside. This makes them ideal for resisting imbalances or vibrations in the cooling system.
- Long lifespan
- High resilience
- Tough on the outside and flexible on the inside
- Resists imbalance or vibration in the cooling system
Advantages of precise CNC milled surfaces
The water pump is manufactured to the specifications of the original casting and all mounting surfaces are then CNC machined.
This allows for easy installation and ensures precise sealing of all mated surfaces. A leak-proof connection ensures long component life and maximum efficiency.
- Guaranteed accuracy of fit with matching components
- Prevents leaks
- Checked and tested according to ISO9001:2015 standards
Advantages of metal wheels
Metal wheels are far superior to plastic wheels. By using metal impellers, a water pump can handle higher torque and higher temperatures.
This not only helps improve performance, but also prevents component failure caused by broken or deformed impellers.
- Withstands high temperatures
- Resists chemicals
- Powerful at high speeds
- Does not deform
- Withstands high torque forces
- Doesn't splinter
- No cracks during press fit
- Extremely durable
- Withstands tolerances on high mileage engines
Note on the fan clutch:
This kit is intended for vehicles where the fan clutch is mounted on the water pump and connected to the water pump shaft.
The water pump and fan clutch are mounted on the same shaft and are subject to even wear. Replacing one part without the other can result in inefficient cooling performance or premature failure of the new replacement part.
Reinstalling a worn fan clutch with a new water pump can damage and destroy the new water pump - and vice versa.
