Valve Cover Breather for Dodge Challenger, Charger & Durango Hellcat and Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, Filter with Chrome Cover
This valve cover breather is installed in place of the oil filler cap, no modifications to the vehicle are required.
The precision-engineered spiral in the base of the housing fits snugly into the filler tube, and the seal is held in place by the O-ring provided.
In supercharged engines, combustion pressure inevitably enters the crankcase and this pressure contributes to power loss, increased oil temperatures and premature engine seal failure.
The vent serves as a high-flow vent so that the resulting pressure can easily escape into the atmosphere.
This vent is equipped with a patented APV non-return valve so that internal pressure is allowed to pass through, but no outside air can be drawn through the vent into the engine's intake tract.
This venting reduces the effectiveness of the vehicle's PCV system and is not emissions compliant.
Your engine tuning will not be affected by the installation of this breather.
This valve cover breather is CNC machined from 6061 aluminium and micro machined on the outer surface.
The filter is a high quality, reusable unit manufactured in the USA by S & B Filters.
The installation height is less than 3″.
