The valve cover breather can simply be installed in place of the oil filler cap without any modifications to the vehicle. This enables effective ventilation of the crankcase and thus ensures optimal engine function.
Thanks to this solution, it is possible to replace the oil filler cap with the valve cover breather without having to make any additional modifications to the vehicle. This represents a practical and efficient solution to optimally use the valve cover ventilation on models with 5.7 Hemi, 6.1 SRT8 and 6.4 SRT engines.

The bottom of the breather is CNC machined from billet aluminum for a precise fit, and the included silicone O-ring is specifically designed to prevent oil leakage from the bottom of the breather.
The filter base is micro-machined for surface protection and good looks and can be easily hand polished to a mirror-like appearance.
The removable filter element is a high quality, reusable element from S & B Filters and is held securely in the filter base by a specially made retaining groove at the top of the filter base.

The purpose of this valve cover breather is to prevent unwanted pressure build-up in the crankcase and to ensure maximum circulation of ambient air in the crankcase to reduce oil temperatures.
Installing this breather helps extend engine oil life and reduces the risk of engine seal failure due to excessive crankcase pressure.
This vent reduces the effectiveness of the vehicle's PCV system and is not emissions compliant.
