Touring Edition exhaust system<\/strong><\/p>\n The Touring Edition is a full-length 3-inch stainless steel exhaust that delivers optimum performance without droning throughout the rev range. With a precision-crafted H-pipe and AWE's patented drone-canceling solution, 180 Technology\u00ae, the Touring Edition exhaust system delivers a deep, rich engine sound.<\/p>\n Perfect sound, thanks to AWE 180 Technology\u00ae<\/p>\n When the exhaust gases emerge from the HEMI engine and flow into a resonator equipped with AWE 180 Technology\u00ae, they are directed through strategically placed openings into reflection chambers. The sound waves carried by the exhaust gases bounce off the walls of the reflection chambers. By controlling the size and position of the openings and the chambers, we also control when the sound waves exit the chambers. The specific time at which the reflected sound waves re-enter the main exhaust stream creates a sound wave that is one hundred and eighty degrees out of phase, canceling out problematic frequencies. The Track Edition has the same integrated H-pipe and precision technology as the Touring Edition, but without AWE's patented 180 Technology\u00ae for drone suppression.<\/p>\n The 180 Technology\u00ae resonators in the rear are replaced by the straight sections of the Track Edition. As a result, this version is known to get (really) aggressive under acceleration and deceleration in the mid-range and can be too loud for many.
