The valve cover breather can simply be installed in place of the oil filler cap without any modifications to the vehicle. This enables effective ventilation of the crankcase and thus ensures optimum engine function.
\nThanks to this solution, it is possible to replace the oil filler cap with the valve cover breather without having to make any additional modifications to the vehicle. This is a practical and efficient solution for making optimum use of the valve cover breather on models with 5.7 Hemi, 6.1 SRT8 and 6.4 SRT engines.<\/p>\n

The bottom of the breather is CNC machined from billet aluminum for a precise fit, and the included silicone O-ring is specially designed to prevent oil leakage from the bottom of the breather.
\nThe filter base is micro-machined to protect the surface and for a good appearance and can easily be polished by hand to a mirror-like appearance.
\nThe removable filter element is a high-quality, reusable element from S & B Filters and is held securely in the filter base by a specially manufactured retaining groove at the top of the filter base.<\/p>\n

The purpose of this valve cover breather is to prevent unwanted pressure build-up in the crankcase and to ensure maximum circulation of ambient air in the crankcase in order to reduce oil temperatures.
\nThe installation of this breather contributes to a longer service life of the engine oil and reduces the risk of engine seals failing due to excessive crankcase pressure.
\nThis venting reduces the effectiveness of the vehicle's PCV system and is not emissions-compliant.<\/p>\n
