\nThis unique ferro-carbon formula was developed for road use and utilizes the safety and quality of heavy-duty friction technology from the aerospace and motorsport industries.
\nThe High Performance Street compound offers a higher coefficient of friction than standard brake pads and can give you 20 to 40 % more stopping power and greater resistance to brake fade than most standard replacement pads. Less fade means you get an extremely durable brake pad with less brake dust.<\/p>\n
\nWith an upper operating temperature of 430-480\u00b0C, the HPS compound can withstand light track use as long as you watch for signs of overheating and allow adequate cooling time when the brake pads reach their upper temperature.
\nThe Hawk HPS compound is not a racing compound and cannot withstand prolonged racing at high temperatures.
\nAs far as brake dust is concerned, the HPS compound is cleaner than your OEM brake pads, but generates more dust than the Hawk Ceramic compound. The increase in performance compared to Hawk Ceramic comes at the expense of increased dust generation.<\/p>\n\n
