After much deliberation, comparing and searching, I decided on this camshaft and don't regret it for a second. The sound is brilliant, just like an old American V8. Nice and lumpy.
We did the installation ourselves here and then took the car to Kraftwerk for the software tuning. The engine doesn't run at all without software, which is absolutely necessary. When rolling at idle speed, it jerks a little - this is due to the rough idling. At traffic lights, the car really shakes. As soon as you drive normally, everything is tip-top. Definitely not for a BMW straight-six driver, but a true American fan will be delighted.
I think if I put a slightly louder exhaust on it now, it will come across even better.
