Description

Hawk Performance High-Performance Ceramic Brake Pads HB194Z.570 for Dodge Durango Hellcat (Rear Axle)

Hawk recognises the needs of today's ceramic brake pad users and has specially formulated its composite material to meet and exceed the high noise and low dust requirements it has set itself.
Hawk PC (Performance Ceramic) brake pads are designed to reduce NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) and deliver outstanding performance mile after mile.
The unique compound provides a linear friction profile that allows the ABS system on your Durango Hellcat to work as effectively as possible and has the advantage of not sacrificing performance compared to conventional ceramic pads.
With the Performance Ceramic brake pads from Hawk, you can experience less brake pad wear, a longer service life of the brake discs and very low noise levels.

The Hawk Performance Ceramic is a great compound if your top priority is minimising brake dust. This compound is a very popular replacement for OEM Brembo 6 piston brakes used in the Durango Hellcat.
If you don't want increased braking performance compared to the standard equipment and want to virtually eliminate brake dust, Hawk Performance Ceramic brake pads are just the thing for you.

Break-In Instructions

Break-In Instructions

Hawk brake pad installation procedure

  • Install the brake pads correctly. Ensure that the brake pads are securely seated in the brake calliper.
  • Flush the system with fresh brake fluid.
  • Check all hydraulic parts for excessive wear and tear.
  • Check the brake disc for correct thickness, parallelism and lateral concentricity.
  • Check the brake disc for scoring or grooves with a depth of more than 0.3 mm.
  • If both apply, you must renew or replace the disc.
  • If the disc does not need to be replaced, the dirt from the previous brake pads must be removed. Sand the discs with sandpaper at moderate pressure. Clean the disc surface with soap and water after sanding and finishing.
  • The discs should be free of oil, grease and brake fluid.
  • Check the brake callipers for freedom of movement. Lubricate them if necessary.

Hawk brake pad embedding - road mixtures

  • Brake 6-10 times from approx. 50-55 km/h to 10 km/h and apply moderate pressure. Do not come to a standstill.
  • Carry out a further 2 to 3 harder braking manoeuvres of approx. 65-70 km/h until the vehicle comes to a standstill.
  • DO NOT STAND ON THE BRAKES! (Do not leave your foot on the brake pedal after stopping).
  • Allow the brake system to cool down for 15 minutes or longer.
  • Your new Hawk rubbers are now ready for use.
