The Tazer RAM is a programming device for the RAM 1500

It works with all engine variants including diesel.
The vehicle must have a speedometer with a larger display, in which, for example, the radio stations can be shown or with a colored display.

There are two types of functions - those that are permanently saved after programming and "live" functions.

All these functions can be accessed via the instrument cluster, using the steering wheel buttons to navigate through the menus.

As soon as the Tazer is "married" to the Ram, the following menus can be accessed. When the Tazer DT is no longer married to the vehicle, the settings are available again:

The Tazer RAM is a plug-in device for changing vehicle settings and providing some additional functions that were not available ex works. It works on all engine variants, including the diesel engine. Requires the tachometer cluster, which has the ability to display radio station information - only the older base model trucks may have the cluster, which cannot. All color displays will work.

The functions of the Taser-RAM can be divided into two categories:

- Vehicle settings - these are changes made to the vehicle to customize modifications to the vehicle or to enable or "unlock" technically available but factory disabled features that are normally reserved for a higher trim level or package for that vehicle type. These changes are effective even after the Tazer RAM has been removed.

- Live functions - these are functions that the Tazer RAM performs under voltage only when it is connected to the OBD2 port.

Vehicle settings:

• Calibrating the speedometer for non-factory tire sizes
• Configure vehicle for a different axle ratio
• Can deactivate the tire pressure monitoring system warnings or change the PSI settings*
• Can activate/deactivate daytime running lights and the user can select the lights to be used (application-dependent)
• Can enable the addition of factory fog lights
• Can support LED lights
• Can deactivate Fog Light Dropout (leave high and low beam and fog lights on simultaneously when flashing)
• Enables the addition of a factory replacement camera and an aftermarket front camera*
• Can SiriusXM Travellink disable traffic and weather alerts
• Can activate aux video/audio for front camera and/or external video source (2018 models can only activate a cargo cam input)
• Can activate factory aux buttons, support the addition of power-folding mirrors and more
• One-Touch-Return-to-Stock - Quick "unmarry" function brings all vehicle settings back to the original state. No need to remember or write down the original settings if you don't reset everything before a workshop visit

Live functions:

• AutoFold - can automatically extend and retract electric folding mirrors when the vehicle is switched on and off
• Windows from Keyfob - can open and close electric windows with the remote key
• Line Lock - Uses ABS actuators to lock the front wheels when you want to do a burnout on the track or just for fun
• Can activate the entry of navigation addresses while driving
• Lightshow mode - 6 preset and 3 customized light shows with all exterior lights flashing. Perfect for car shows. Control via key fob or steering wheel buttons. Can be activated for use in parades, off-road driving and by police/emergency services.
• Cooldown mode: Switch on the engine fans as required when the ignition is switched on and the engine is not running
• Winch mode: Temporarily raise the engine to 2000 rpm when idling, e.g. in winch mode or when jump-starting another vehicle
• Spoof4Lo: raises the idle and shift points
• Clear CELs - resetting the check engine light, clearing the fault memory
• Deactivate ESP/traction control completely by pressing and holding the ESP button
• 0 to 30 and 0 to 60 timer - Displays 0-30 or 0-60 times on the EVIC display
• Firmware updates - new firmware is available regularly, always free of charge and is published on the Z Automotive website. Use the ZPU programming program.

*Tire psi setting requires an update at the dealer so that the vehicle can recognize the change. Deactivating the TPMS system altogether and switching off the warning symbol does NOT require a visit to the dealer.

Fits:

Model year 2018 and newer: Due to a new safety module, an additional Bypass T-harness required.

Important: All changes are functions that are already available in the vehicle ex works, but are not always activated.
As the software versions in the vehicles differ and changes sometimes occur as part of updates, we cannot guarantee that all functions can be set / activated as described in every vehicle.
If a function has not been stored ex works, it cannot be activated.
